From Asheville:
Take I-26 East toward Hendersonville / South Carolina.
Take the Upward Rd. exit (exit 53). Take a right off the exit ramp onto Upward Rd.
Stay straight on Upward Rd. 1.3 miles until it ends at Ingle's grocery store.
Take a right onto Spartanburg Highway.
Go 1/2 mile, and Skater's Choice will be on the left.
The sign is small and easy to miss. You turn into the parking lot just after A Growing Concern (a small garden center just past the Citgo gas station).
When
Newbie Nights: Tuesdays, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
League Practices: Mondays, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
What to bring
We have a big stinky bag of equipment that's available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Admission and skate rental is free for newbies during BRRG practices. That said, eventually you will need the following gear:
quad skates
helmet
wrist guards
elbow pads
knee pads
mouthguard
Newbie Night is fun and low-pressure, so don't be shy. Also feel free to come say hi and watch one of our league practices.
